Yes, as the title of the post suggests, I am permanently moving to 64bit computing. I have tried 64bit computing in the beginning of last year, but I moved back to 32bit after tinkering with a fully configured 64 bit Debian. I just couldn’t find the proper applications then. It’s not that I didn’t try. I tried my best to keep my 64bit environment alive, but apparently I had to reinstall the 32bit Debian. Very few applications were ported to 64bit in that time. Take the example of Adobe’s flash player. It is a browser plugin which was available for only 32bit system then. So, to view flash video, either I had to install 32bit browser in 64bit environment or I had to setup nspluginwrapper. Trust me, flash used to be extremely unstable either way. I am also an amateur Java programmer. But Java wasn’t available for 64bit system that [...]

The following post was wrote by me for my Orkut profile almost two years before. I was very much depressed that time. I already mention that in one of my previous post. This post is considered as the best writing of mine by my friends. Some strangers who visited my profile that time also appraised me for this post. So, I think I should post it back here.
I saw many dreams which was shattered
I lived many life which was decayed
Now my cursed soul is confined in a chronic void by myriad destiny
It is burning
It is withering indolently
I am screaming to break free
I am dreaming of eternity.
I was sitting alone gazing to nowhere praying to death. He came silently. He stood behind me and whispered ” Sorry boy, I cant take you. You have to feel pain until your heart starts cry, you have to suffer till your brain blows. You [...]

I use Debian as my primary OS. I have Windows XP installed in one of my partition but that is for only to satisfy my gaming need. My study needs certain things that require Windows. So, I am using VMware Workstation inside my Debian box to host Windows. Currently I have four virtual machines running through VMware. One Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition, two Windows XP Professional & one Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Among these four virtual machines, other than one Windows XP Professional, three are connected with each other through VMware’s virtual networking interface. Sometimes, all four virtual machines run simultaneously. All these require more processing power. So, I wanted to tweak my VMware to squeeze out every bit of performance as I can. So, one fine Sunday morning, I sat down in front of my desktop, trying to tweak the VMware configurations as much as I can. [...]

Some websites like Yahoo, Microsoft, Hotmail does not let users to save the log in information such as username & password in their browser’s password manager. Those websites use autocomplete="off" to prevent browsers not to remember the log in information. There is a solution for this. It works with Firefox flawlessly, but I don’t know if it works with other browsers too. I haven’t tested this method in other browsers other than Firefox or Iceweasel.
First, open the log in page. Then, copy & paste the following javascript inside the address bar of Firefox/Iceweasel before you enter the user name & password. After copying the javascript inside the address bar, press Enter to execute it. Now, you are set. Enter the user name & password, click on submit button and the browser will ask you to save the login information.
Here is the javascript:
javascript:(function(){function R(w){try{var a,df,dfe,i,j,x,y,r=1;df=w.document.forms;for(i=0;x=df[i];++i){dfe=x.elements;if(a=x.onsubmit){a=""}if(a=x.attributes["autocomplete"]){a.value="on"}for(j=0;y=dfe[j];++j){if(a=y.attributes["autocomplete"]){a.value="on"}}}}catch(E){r=0}return r}R(self);var i,x;for(i=0;x=frames[i];++i)R(x)})()

Well, what can I say. It is very hard to answer. I don’t know. I am not famous. I am very simple human being. When I received my first computer in mid 2003, from that time I get addicted to computer.
Those early days passed like a dream. I never knew that a wonderful mystery world exists other than our real world. I kept indulge myself into that newly found world. That same year, I was admitted in BCA (Bachelors in Computer Application) in IGNOU. Majority of my course consists of computer related technology. But surprisingly my interest grew into the other technologies other than the modules of my course. I had grown a deep passion in Linux, Virtualization and open source. My first Linux distribution was Red Hat linux 9. Of course, I didn’t know anything about linux when I first installed it in my desktop. In fact, I screwed [...]
